Hello there, my name is Brett Popoleo and I work as a freelance web designer/ developer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I started my web design & development career in Orlando, Florida after I retired from the United States Marine Corps in May of 2005.
As with all military type families, I moved around quite a bit. I grew up in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania called Marienville. When I joined the Marines I was immediately shipped off the Paris Island South Carolina and then to Jacksonville North Carolina where I spent the majority of my time. When I retired from the Corps I moved to Orlando Florida. I had always wanted to see what it would be like to live there.
While living in Florida I started creating websites for friends, family, and myself. After a few months of studying the different web development applications and languages I decided to take my hobby to the next level. I enrolled in the web application development program at ITT Technical Institute in Lake Mary Florida.
I graduated from ITT Technical Institute in September of 2007 as Valedictorian of the Information Technology – Web Development program with an Associate of Science degree.
After four wonderful years in the sunny south I’d had enough of the heat, so in April of 2009, I decided it was time to move back to my home state. So I packed up my wife and two kids and headed north. Bethel Park, PA is where we ended up.
